Daily production of 10,000 barrels from South Yaran stabilized
TEHRAN (PEDEC) _ Executive manager of South Yaran development plan stated: “currently 10,000 barrels of oil are produced per day out of 6 wells in the field, and drilling, driving courses of 12 pipe wells are also ready for completion, and there is also pipeline installation that is remained to be completed”, while mentioning that from the beginning of this year that oil production in the joint area has begun.
Referring to HOA, the Integrated Development Plan of the Yaran field, signed last year between the National Iranian Oil Company and the Persia Oil & Gas Company, Homayoun Kazemeini said: “Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC) will continue its operations in Southern Yaran until it signs the major development contract.
Kazemini said more than 70 percent of the active forces in the South Yaran development plan have been among the native forces of the province.
The South Yaran Oil Field is one of the joint projects with Iraq, located in the west of the Karoun River, 130 km away at southwest of Ahwaz. The reservoir is located between the South Azadgan oil field and the Iraqi Majnoon field in Iraq.
Total amount of its in-place oil is 645 million barrels, which is located in 2 layers of Sarvak and Gadvan, and the fund for its development is provided by the domestic resources of the National Iranian Oil Company.
